Creating the perfect smile
.: ENDODONTICS :.........................................................
(The treatment of tooth diseases)
Root canal treatment is often the only way to restore your natural tooth if the nerve has become infected by decay or damage.
The endodontic procedure commonly known as “root canal” is actually a specialist filling. The treatment process is simple and effective.
At COIMAR we can remove the damaged nerve from your tooth and replace this area with a filling to avoid further infection or disease.
.: FILLINGS (CAVITIES) :..................................................
Teeth that have been affected by tooth decay (caries or cavities) require a filling. There are many different types of fillings, including:
Composite resins
Also known as white fillings, a composite resin is a tooth-colored plastic mixture filled with glass (silicon dioxide) that is used primarily for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.
.: RECONSTRUCTIONS :..................................................
Other alternatives to restoring damaged or decayed teeth:
Porcelain veneers - a ceramic material is bonded to the front of teeth to change the tooth's color, size, and/or shape.

Toothache after root treatment
You go to your dentist with a toothache and get root canal treatment. Afterwards the toothache is still there.
Is this normal, was the dental treatment correct? Yes and no! You will still be able to feel toothache for about another 3 days.
Why? Well, this is because the dentist cleans the inside of the tooth using special instruments which are long and may irritate the bone at the tip of the root. This makes you feel a toothache for about another 3 days – so it isn't a root canal pain.
When might it be necessary to go to your dentist again?Well, if the pain intensifies and/or starts to throb instead of being dull and/or if you develop a fever/swelling.
